The Official Community Plan (OCP) outlines Fort St. John’s vision, goals, and policies for a thriving future. Now required to be updated every five years and guided by a Housing Needs Report, the plan ensures we’re meeting future housing and land needs.
We kicked off the Official Community Plan update in September 2024 at the Moose FM Block Party. Two surveys and ten community events later, it’s clear that Fort St. John'ers take great pride in their city and are invested in its future growth.
The Official Community Plan was adopted by Council at the December 8, 2025 Regular Council Meeting.
